Somewhere between a Mediterranean talisman and ancient Polynesian artifact — a strand of individually handsculpted porcelain pukas and beads. A prayer of time and erosion, each component entirely crafted by hand, knot, clay, color, and craftsmanship. An ode to my many years of textile, ceramic, and sculptural wearable art. In fact, it’s how it all started. With a silk ti leaf lei, and now a pula lei. Handcrafted with devotion over many hours.
Frost porcelain finished with shell pink glaze on raw edges, with 22k gold bead finishing. Strung on lilac linen and raw leather cord. With self square knot tie. This sculptural piece is durable, lightweight, and easy to wear and layer.
